PTL= Praise the Lord... Because after three weeks in one amazing country, we were ready for a change and I must say... Oh Dubai! We loved you.We took this right after the A330 crash last year... Christine's mom was a so worried about the plane we would fly in and it ended up being am A330. We had to fuel her neuroticism and send her this picture from the plane. I am sure she was thrilled with her daughter at this moment.
Once getting to Dubai the first thing we did was go shopping (of course!) We went to the Dubai Mall which is the largest mall in the WORLD! It was amazing! The first true treasure we saw was a HUGE Forever 21... Christine's favorite. I thought that she might have a heart attack right then and there... but she didn't. However, we did spend a couple of HOURS perusing the aisles..
This is Lana and I in front of the tallest building in the world. It was so hard to get all of it in one photo. Lana is my friend from college... one of those true jewels of friends whom I thank God that I have made throughout my lifetime. She was so kind, took off an entire week at work and was our tour guide for the week.
Christine and I were so excited for every part of this country, the culture, the people, the extravagance, but I must say, it is hard to go from one extreme to the next. Poverty to one of the wealthiest countries in the world... but an experience nonetheless.

We tried to do some cool photography outside the only 7 star hotel in the world, the Burj Al Arab. If you look in the mirror you can see the three of us as well as the hotel in the background. to actually tour the hotel it was $40!!! That's as much as a child's ticket to Disneyland! Just to go inside a hotel! So we decided to stay on the outside and get a few cool photography lessons :)
