Lotus Temple

After being out all night dancing, we went to the Lotus temple. It was beautiful, but HOT and HUMID. because of this we didn't take many pictures. But it was an interesting experience. The temple is supposed to be a place where you can go and reflect in utter silence, so they tell you before walking into the temple that there is absolutely no speaking. Following this instruction, Christine and I walked into the temple to reflect on our trip thus far and were greeted with a man singing (horribly) into a mike with a women reading scriptures in Hindi in between the songs. It definitely seemed to be an odd silence. Christine and I went into reflect and the people were so loud that you couldn't focus. But, it was a great idea and a beautiful building.

The view from the outside of the temple... It was designed to look like a Lotus and is 8 sided (like all other Baha'i temples)
